I can't honestly fault the site, would happily return, My only suggestion when booking is please pick your pitch if you can, the ones round the play area and in the woods can either be a bit noisy if you like a lie in, or not sunny if you are in the woods. Starting in Torver, the trail heads along the road and out into the farmlands before winding through the woodlands and joining the path along Coniston Water. The wonderful touch of a litte coffee area come shop, where everything was done on an honesty basis was fab, prices are clearly marked, and you pay for your bill on departure, the added touch of fresh pastires and bread to order each morning was lovely too. Coppicing is a traditional method of woodland management which exploits the capacity of many species of trees to put out new shoots from their stump or roots if cut down. We had 2 lovely pitches next to one another as requested, I have to say the ground was very dry, but nothing the site could of done, so getting some tent pegs in and out was a bit tricky, Facilities consisted of, 3 showers of which one is a family wet room, and 3 toilets, showers are warm clean and spacious, toilets clean too. Ideally set between Battle and Hastings, although very peaceful with birdsong and rabbits, we are close enough to the nearby towns and beaches if wanted. Upon arrival we where flooded with information regarding the site, the do's, don't's and the local area.
