While the nature of programming is selective, there are plenty of viewers who might argue that the variety of titles that are available to watch, TG4 is currently Ireland's best station due to their eclectic mix of documentaries, music, Irish shows, live sport, clever commissions, and astute acquisitions. In doing so, the Irish-language broadcaster achieved an audience share of 3.6% on Christmas Day, its highest share since 2010. TG4 achieved its highest audience on Christmas Day, a record that hasn't been broken by the station since 2009.
